Someone needs to stop letting the interns at NY1 screen photo submissions.  I mean, I don’t know if this is the case but it’s the only viable reason I can come up with.  Quick background:  NY1 has a section of their website where they select a “picture of the day” which is submitted by local New Yorkers, many who seemingly do not know how to work a camera.   I don’t know which is worse: the person who took this photo (which btw is a shot of the second avenue subway construction) and submitted it or the person who green lighted its posting as the ‘day’s winner’.
